Film Screening and Awareness Event
“The Black Dog”
A film screening aimed at raising awareness about shelter animals and the human-animal bond.
We will screen the film "TheBlack Dog", 2024 Chinese drama film directed by Guan Huwhich tells the story of a man who, after being released from prison, begins working in connection with a shelter and develops a unique and deeply meaningful bond with a dog.
We chose this film because it reflects themes that are closely connected to our own work: shelter animals, second chances, companionship, trust, and the transformative relationship that can develop between people and animals.
The screening will be promoted throughout October through our communication channels and will also be announced during our other World Animal Day activities.
Through this event, we hope to reach a wider audience and use cinema as another way to encourage empathy, awareness, and a deeper understanding of shelter animals and their need for care, visibility, and adoption.
