SAMSON NYENDWA

SAMSON NYENDWA

Samson has worked in the animal welfare sector for many years and has gained extensive experience in promoting and improving animal welfare, health, rights, and management. He works closely with partners, policymakers, volunteers, and communities to help build a world where all animal species are recognized, protected, and valued, today, tomorrow, and every day.

His work includes treating animals, conducting vaccination campaigns, and educating local communities and schoolchildren, who represent the next generation of animal welfare advocates. He is currently working with partners on campaigns to halt the donkey skin trade and stop the dog meat trade.

Samson provides training and education both within Zambia and internationally. Over the years, he has trained Community Livestock Volunteers in countries including Malawi, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, and others.

The organization he works for collaborates with communities, partners, policymakers, volunteers, and other stakeholders to expand access to quality veterinary services, influence policy change, and improve the lives of animals and the people who depend on them. The organization has played a key role in responding to disease outbreaks, including anthrax in 2023 and foot-and-mouth disease in 2025, while also conducting annual rabies vaccination campaigns and addressing other animal health challenges.
