World Animal Day 2026 Market Stall — “See the World Through Their Eyes”- Help End Live Animal Exports
To mark World Animal Day, TALE – Townsville Against Live Export Inc. will be hosting a stall at Cotters Market on Sunday morning, 4/10/26 to raise awareness of the animal welfare, social, economic and environmental impacts of the live export trade. We’ll have information available, merchandise for sale, a quiz about the live export industry, and postcards addressed to the Prime Minister calling for an end to all live animal exports.
🐾 This year’s theme, “See the World Through Their Eyes,” asks us to pause and consider how our choices affect animals — to act with compassion and call for an end to live animal exports.
🚢 In 2025, 78,856 animals were exported from Townsville, making our city the third largest live cattle export port in Australia. Animals are not cargo.
💔 Australia has already said yes to ending live sheep exports by sea by 1 May 2028— because we know animals deserve better. If it’s wrong for sheep, it’s wrong for cattle and other animals too.
Let’s use World Animal Day to demand a kinder world for ALL animals in which no animal suffers from the cruelty of live export. .
