Community Dinner Club Luncheon: A World Animal Day Blue Mountains satellite event
The Plant Inspired project and Leura Uniting Church are starting monthly community lunches with the aim of bringing together members of local groups, organisations, and the wider (local) public for a relaxed and welcoming meal.
The inaugural luncheon will be held on Sunday 12 October 2025 as part of the Blue Mountains celebrations of the centenary of World Animal Day (which began in Berlin in 1925).
The food is plant-based and delicious, supporting our shared values around kindness to animals and planetary sustainability.
Each lunch also acts as a ‘climate café’—a safe space for anyone experiencing climate anxiety or grief to talk with others who understand and take those feelings seriously.
