DRAW A HOME FOR ME

DRAW A HOME FOR ME

1. “Draw a Home” – Adoption Awareness Exhibition | 16–18 October

As part of our World Animal Day activities, we are organizing a three-day exhibition called “Draw a Home” on 16, 17 and 18 October.

Around 40 well-known Turkish cartoonists and illustrators will take part in the project. Each artist will be introduced to an animal currently living in a municipal shelter and will create an original cartoon or illustration inspired by that animal’s photograph and story. The main aim of the exhibition is to help these animals become more visible and, ultimately, find permanent and loving homes.

Alongside the artworks, visitors will also be able to read the individual stories of the animals that inspired each illustration, creating a more personal connection between the public and shelter animals.

The exhibition will also include a dedicated adoption board, featuring photographs and information about other animals currently looking for homes. This will give visitors the opportunity to discover many more animals available for adoption beyond those represented by the artists.

In addition, the exhibition will present the volunteer work we carry out together with the municipality at the municipal shelter. We will share information about our volunteering projects, adoption efforts, awareness activities, and the work we do to improve the lives and visibility of shelter animals.

The exhibition is therefore not only an art event, but also an adoption and public-awareness initiative, bringing together artists, volunteers, the municipality and the local community around the shared goal of helping shelter animals find homes.
