World Animal Day Action Call: End Illegal Wildlife Trafficking
In celebration of World Animal Day (October 4), Elephanatics has launched an immediate civic action campaign empowering youth, educators, and citizens to take a stand against global wildlife trafficking.
While illegal poaching devastates endangered species like the African elephant, wildlife crime is operated by powerful international criminal networks. To stop them, we are advocating for a new UN Wildlife Crime Protocol under the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime (UNTOC)—a legally binding global agreement that makes wildlife trafficking a serious international offense.

Mobilizing Ahead of Critical UN Summit Decisions
Public pressure and student advocacy are essential today as governments prepare their policy positions leading into two critical international legal gatherings:
15th UN Crime Congress (UAE, Late September): The flagship global UN summit focused on international crime prevention, law enforcement, and criminal justice frameworks.
UNTOC COP13 (Vienna, October 19–23): The 13th Conference of the Parties to UNTOC, where member states negotiate transnational crime protocols and treaty implementation.
