Ziua animalelor – Állatok világnapja
Here is the English translation of the announcement:
Celebrating World Animal Day at Târgu Mureș Zoo
Târgu Mureș Zoo, in partnership with the Milvus Group, will mark World Animal Day on October 4, 2026, with a series of educational presentations and guided public feedings. Through this event, the institution aims to highlight the importance of biodiversity conservation and offer visitors a direct look into animal care.
The day's program will kick off at 11:00 AM in the Green House with a presentation by specialists from the Milvus Group on how nature prepares for the cold season and how the community can get involved to help species during the winter months. Next, the public is invited to attend public feedings: at 12:00 PM for the white storks, at 12:30 PM for the deer, at 1:00 PM for the Asian elephants, and starting at 1:30 PM for the Bennett's wallabies and emus.
World Animal Day is an ideal occasion to recall the essential role we play in protecting wildlife and the environment. Through these interactive activities, we hope to spark curiosity and environmental responsibility in every visitor.
