SHARING YOUR MESSAGE
World Animal Day kicks off in Kiritimati, a small island in Oceania also known as Christmas Island, whilst it is still October 3 for most of us around the globe. It’s closely followed by Tonga, Samoa and then New Zealand. If you live in that part of the world, then it’s up to you to get the ball rolling on social media! One of the last places to celebrate will be American Samoa, home to over 45,000 people, so if you’re there, you can keep the momentum going right to the end.
Not everyone uses the official #WorldAnimalDay hashtag, so keep an eye out for variations too, like #AnimalWelfareDay, #InternationalAnimalsDay and #AnimalDay (search in your own language, too).
